Author Guidelines

ASCEND Journal of Transformative Education and Allied Fields (AJTEAF)

The ASCEND Journal of Transformative Education and Allied Fields (AJTEAF) is an international peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality scholarly works in transformative education, curriculum and instruction, educational innovation, research development, community extension, educational technology, and interdisciplinary allied fields.

Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration in any other journal or publication.

1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

AJTEAF accepts the following types of scholarly works:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles

  • Case Studies

  • Educational Innovations

  • Community Extension Studies

  • Short Communications

  • Theoretical and Conceptual Papers

2. Manuscript Preparation

Authors must prepare manuscripts according to the following format:

Citation Style APA 7th Edition

3. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should contain the following sections:

  1. Title Page

  2. Abstract

  3. Keywords

  4. Introduction

  5. Methodology

  6. Results and Discussion

  7. Conclusion and Recommendations

  8. References

Additional sections may be included when appropriate.

4. Title and Author Information

The title should be concise, informative, and reflective of the study.

Authors must provide:

  • Full name

  • Institutional affiliation

  • Email address

  • ORCID ID (if available)

5. Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should contain:

  • purpose of the study

  • methodology

  • major findings

  • conclusion

The abstract must be between 150–250 words.

Provide 3–5 keywords below the abstract.

6. Tables, Figures, and Illustrations

Tables and figures must:

  • be clearly labeled

  • include titles/captions

  • be cited in the text

  • be of publishable quality

Authors are responsible for securing permission for copyrighted materials.

7. References

References must strictly follow APA 7th Edition formatting.

Only sources cited in the manuscript should appear in the reference list.

Authors are encouraged to use recent and credible scholarly references.

8. Ethical Standards

AJTEAF adheres to ethical standards in scholarly publishing.

Authors must ensure that:

  • manuscripts are original

  • data are authentic

  • plagiarism is avoided

  • proper citations are provided

  • conflicts of interest are disclosed

Plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and duplicate submission are strictly prohibited.

9. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process.

The review process evaluates:

  • originality

  • scholarly contribution

  • methodological rigor

  • clarity of presentation

  • relevance to the journal scope

The editorial board reserves the right to accept, reject, or request revisions.

10. Open Access Policy

AJTEAF provides immediate open access to its content in support of the global exchange of knowledge.

Readers may freely access, download, and share published articles with proper attribution.

11. Submission Procedure

Manuscripts must be submitted through the AJTEAF online journal system.

Authors should ensure that all submission requirements are satisfied prior to submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Research Articles

This section publishes original research articles in transformative education, educational innovation, curriculum and instruction, assessment, educational technology, community extension, and allied academic fields.

Review Articles

This section publishes scholarly review papers and systematic reviews that synthesize existing literature and provide critical insights into relevant academic fields.

Community Extension Studies

This section publishes scholarly works, program evaluations, action research, and evidence-based studies related to community extension, outreach initiatives, civic engagement, sustainable development, and transformative community practices that contribute to social innovation and national development.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
